Congratulations to HOYTE VAN HOYTEMA! He wins three most impressive cinematography prizes 2024 for OPPENHEIMER. The films wins seven Oscars, including Best Directing and Best Film for Christopher Nolan. Hoytema has been Nolan's go-to DP since 2014's Interstellar. For his work on Nolan's World War II action thriller, Dunkirk (2017), Hoytema received his first Oscar nomination for Best Cinematography. Oppenheimer marks their fourth collaboration to date, and the cinematographer says that tackling seemingly impossible challenges has become a regular starting point in his and Nolan's process.

HOYTE VAN HOYTEMA wins ASC AWARD

The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) held its 38th annual awards Sunday March 3 with Hoyte van Hoytema, ASC, FSF, NSC earning the feature film award for Oppenheimer. This is Van Hoytema’s first ASC Award. He was previously nominated for Dunkirk (2018) and Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy (2012).

HOYTE VAN HOYTEMA wins BAFTA

for OPPENHEIMER

Oppenheimer wins seven BAFTAs: Best Film; Director for Christopher Nolan; Leading Actor for Cillian Murphy; Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr.; Editing for Jennifer Lame; Original Score for Ludwig Göransson and Hoytema wins for best Cinematography, British media present at the ceremony report. It is his first BAFTA for 52-year-old Van Hoytema.

In the competition of the International Women Film Festival 2024 in New York , Claire Pijnman has won the award for best cinematography for her work on the feature film ECHO THE NOW, dir.: Anet van den Elzen, prod.: SNG Film

OSCAR nomination for HOYTE VAN HOYTEMA

Hoyte van Hoytema is nominated for an OSCAR for his work as the director of photography for last year's Oppenheimer. It is the Dutch cinematographer's second nomination for an Academy Award. It was another Nolan film, Dunkirk, which led to Van Hoytema's first nomination six years ago. He lost out to Roger A. Deakins that year, who filmed Blade Runner 2049.

Van Hoytema's work will go up against El Conde - Edward Lachman, Killers of the Flower Moon - Rodrigo Prieto,  Maestro - Matthew Libatique and Poor Things - Robbie Ryan.
