VIRTUAL PRODUCTION WORKSHOP March 7 & 8 2023

With Titles like The Batman, The Mandalorian and 1899 it seems that the term Virtual Production (VP) has opened up a new way of shooting films called: In Camera Visual Effects (ICVFX). With the Volume (a studio with LED screens) by ReadySet Studios in Amsterdam, NL which is used for the Dutch productions Rampvlucht (DoP Aage Hollander NSC) and Modern Love (DoP Mar van Aller NSC) ICVFX is no longer a trinket of Hollywood.
That’s why the Technical Commission of the NSC likes to organise a hands on workshop about the basic principles of ICVFX.

It is a 1-day Virtual Production workshop which will be held twice with identical information at:
March 7 from 13.00 until 17.00 hours
March 8 from 13.00 until 17.00 hours
at ReadySet Studios, HJE Wenckebachweg, Amsterdam Studios Area
You are very welcome to join us!
The program contains:
- a theoretical base about the technical and creative possibilities of ICVFX and the influences it has to a production
- a hands on session in which two environments will be build for the audience to experience what it is to shoot ICVFX
The intention of this event is to showcase the possibilities that comes with ICVFX, and to share some basic knowledge for you to get familiar with the technical and productional challenges. Besides that, we’re also sharing the limitations that there are today.

This workshop will only take place if on both days at least 10 people sign in to participate with a maximum of 20 people per day based on the hands on character of this event. We hope to see you and inspire you to seek for new opportunities in film!
